Local young musicians and teachers perform. Ilmiö Ensemble will present wind instruments, and Jenny Villanen teaches a short body maintenance routine for musicians! Hot chocolate and a sledding hill on the slope of the Pelimannitalo.

Early music ensembles Earthly Angels and Floridante bring a masterpiece of musician-abbedissement from Milan in the 1650s to Kaustinen in the 2020s. Maria Vespers is a collection of Cozzolani’s solo works and eight-voice motets.

The International Valo Quartet’s programme includes P.H. Nordgren’s 10th String Quartet and a new composition by Minna Leinonen, continuing a series of commissioned works. Purcell’s Fantasies and Schubert’s Rosamunde Quartet are also among the best of string quartets.

Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra
Timo-Veikko ”Tipi” Valve, principal cellist of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and an old Kaustinen visitor, makes his debut as the leader of the OCO and plays Schumann’s romantic cello concerto as their soloist. Coming from the other side of the globe, we will hear works by three composers of our time. And of course Mozart!
